XLR8 (formerly EVaaS Solutions) announces partnerships with DG Matrix and Atom Power

XLR8 America, which recently changed its name from EVaaS Solutions, has completed a major rebranding effort and shift in focus.

The company leverages analysis tools to optimize EV charging hardware, software and support services to be able to offer a charging experience optimized for different cohorts.

XLR8 has formed new partnerships with DG Matrix and Atom Power to integrate their technologies into its charging infrastructure. It has signed a memorandum of understanding with DG Matrix regarding an unnamed “groundbreaking” product that involves microgrids.

The partnerships will give XLR8 the ability to offer products with features such as dynamic power sharing, energy management and scalable Level 2 EV charging systems powered by solid-state circuit breakers.

XLR8 also announced the issuance of a $20.7-million purchase order from DG Matrix, an EV charger and microgrid manufacturer, as part of the two companies’ strategic alliance. The investment underscores XLR8’s commitment to driving the adoption of DG Matrix’s Level 3 EV charging solutions, which are designed to provide load balancing for high-demand energy requirements.

The San Diego-based company, founded in 2023, said earlier in the month that it expects to generate more than $10 million in revenue in calendar year 2024, growing by an order of magnitude to more than $100 million in calendar year 2025. The company’s customer base includes hotels, office buildings, municipalities and fueling depots, and it has partnerships with developers, cities and a variety of industries to expand EV charging infrastructure.
