PUBLIC CHARGING: PRINCIPLES FOR ACCESS

In early 2024, Drive Electric’s Charge Point Operator (CPO) subgroup commissioned Sapere to develop a set of principles to inform the development of an access regime for load connections as an amendment to Part 6 of the Electricity Code. The development of this regime began at the Electricity Authority in 2024. While the underlying issues are currently acute for CPOs, the report expects many of them to be true of all load types.
