Maryland-based EV charging infrastructure and services provider Blue Whale EV has partnered with Canada-headquartered SWTCH Energy, an EV charging provider focused on multi-tenant buildings, to deliver scalable, turnkey EV charging services tailored for multifamily, commercial, workplace and municipal properties in North America.
The partnership’s first project will be an installation at Prospect Bay Country Club and Golf Course in Grasonville, Maryland.
SWTCH’s suite of products includes its cloud-based management platform SWTCH OS, the SWTCH Control power distributor—which allows up to 10 times more chargers to be installed using existing infrastructure—and SWTCH Connect, which integrates chargers with building ecosystems and tenant apps. SWTCH Charge manages fees and payments and Network Uptime aims to deliver 99.7% uptime across the network. SWTCH also offers charging-as-a-service for property owners who prefer a monthly payment option rather than an up-front investment.
“Our strategic collaboration will enable diverse properties to offer the convenient, accessible and future-proof EV charging infrastructure,” said Rich McNulty, CEO of Blue Whale EV.
